The Fur Ball, Abilene's annual Rescue the Animals fun fundraising event is back. After the Fur Ball had been canceled due to the coronavirus, Paul Washburn President of Rescue the Animals says that the 2022 Fur Ball will be themed as a "Bow Wow Luau and everyone should start thinking about what to wear to this fun Hawaiian themed event".

The Fur Balls 2022 'Bow Wow Luau' will be Saturday, February 19th, 2022 at the Abilene Convention Center. The doors will open at 6 PM and dinner will be served at 7 PM. The people's meal will be a barbeque dinner catered by Tom Perini and the Perini Ranch Steakhouse.

While the Bow Wow Luau feast for our four-legged fur babies is being catered by Pam's Pets and Fish. The fur babies can eat buffet-style or at the table with their human friends.

The cost for this year's Bow Wow Luau is only $30 per person and for those under 12 years old, it's only $15 and includes the Perini Ranch dinner. Another supporting sponsor and will be selling tickets beginning in January is Casa Authentic located at 3025 Southwest Drive.

This year's "Bow Wow Laua" Fur Ball would not be complete without the incredible music from the awesome Abilene Community Band. I've been informed that the Community band will be playing the classics as well as all of your Hawaiian favorites.

So get on some of your best Hawaiian duds and dress up your fur babies as well, and start practicing your best dance moves. Remember that reserved tickets are highly encouraged in order to guarantee your place at this year's "Bow Wow Laua" Fur Ball 2022.
