Dublin, Texas

I'll admit, I have never been to Dublin. But its past is awesome. It was once the home of the world's oldest Dr. Pepper bottling plant. Nowadays, you can learn about its history at some nice-looking museums. It's definitely on my summer road trip list.

Paris, Texas

Yee-Haw, we're in Paris Texas. When I was first told there was an actual replica of the Eiffel tower in Texas, I had to see it for myself. But, it's right there in Paris, Texas.  The 65-foot structure was even ordained with a red cowboy hat to make it official.

Vienna, Texas

This is the most southern stop in our road trip to Texas European cities. Vienna is now home to less than 50 Texans, but you'll find wide-open spaces perfect for farming and great hunting.

London, Texas

How cool is it to be in London? No, not the big city in the UK. You can go to London right here in Texas. There's a ton of history in this little community going all the way back to 1870.  You can get a true taste of Texas by walking around the square in London.

Berlin, Texas

Also called New Berlin, I know this area well in a sense. I had to change a flat on the roadside in Berlin. Beautiful highways line this little town just up the way from the larger Brenham, Texas.

Moscow, Texas

Here's another town with some pretty cool history. At one point, Moscow was a bustling community complete with saloons and horse-drawn carriages. As you drive through looking at all the vintage buildings, it has Texas written all over it. The name may be foreign but the town is all Texas.

Now that's a road trip with plenty of Texas scenery along plush highways. I have my route mapped out and I'm going to give the whole trek a try this summer. Besides, not everyone can say they have been to Paris...Texas that is.

Personally, I had no idea there were so many Texas towns named after European cities. Keep scrolling to find out some things you may not have known about Texas.
