Bruce Robison and Kelly Willis Bring Their Holiday Shindig to Albany, Texas December 8
If you're looking for a holiday date night filled with great music and the spirit of the season, Americana power couple Bruce Robison and Kelly Willis are bringing their annual Holiday Shindig tour to the Aztec Theater (141 S Main St) in Albany, Texas on December 8, 2021, at 7:30 PM.
Want tickets to Bruce Robison and Kelly Willis' Holiday Shindig in Albany?
Tickets at front-of-house (rows A through C) are $75 and back-of-house (rows D through N) are $50. Access to the VIP lounge with food and refreshments is a $50 add-on, but general concert admission must be purchased in conjunction. You can buy your tickets online here.
Longtime Americana music listeners will recognize the Robison-Willis duo, as the couple has a long-standing tradition of touring the Lone Star State at Christmastime. Married in 1996, both Robison and Willis are accomplished country singer-songwriters in their own right.
Their collaborations together (besides their family) include The Next Waltz, an innovative grass-roots independent music label in Lockhart, and several duet albums, including 2006's Happy Holidays. That album inspired the annual Shindig.
In fact, Willis' Oklahoma roots inspired what has become one of my favorite country Christmas songs (and one song they'll hopefully perform in Albany because Texans love poking fun at the Okies to the North). It's a tongue-in-cheek story song called "Oklahoma Christmas," and you can listen to the live recording of it from Happy Holidays below.
If that doesn't get you in the mood to pre-drink for your annual get-together with your out-of-state family, nothing will.
You can find out more about this show and others coming to the Aztec Theater online at Albany Live.
