Sportscaster Erin Andrews Finds New Home on FOX
Sports fans, in particular fans of nationally renowned (and occasionally peeped on) sportscaster Erin Andrews were likely dismayed last week to learn that their favorite blonde would no longer call ESPN home, but instead would seek employment elsewhere. A week later, there’s been little apart from speculation, but where will Andrews next take up a permanent position?
‘Family Guy’ Picks Up ‘Twilight’ Star Kellan Lutz as, You Guessed It, Handsome Guy
Kellan Lutz might not be the highest profile handsome face of the ‘Twilight‘ saga, but he certainly puts himself out there plenty more than Robert Pattinson or Taylor Lautner. So while you’re not likely to catch R. Pattz popping up on ‘Family Guy,’ or even a Time Warner Cable commercial, you can count on Kellan Lutz to pick up the slack.
FX Orders Denis Leary’s ‘Bronx Warrants’ to Pilot
Whether or not you ever caught the critically under-appreciated FX gem ‘Rescue Me,’ or you delight in Denis Leary’s acerbic wit in this year’s ‘The Amazing Spider-Man,’ the comedian certainly has a distinctive voice. Literally, and figuratively. That’s why FX’s latest announcement has us wondering, will we hear either in the new series ‘Bronx Warrants?’
‘2 Broke Girls’ to Move to TBS…In 2015
It’s a good thing that only three years time will see the major cities of the world outfitted with flying cars, hover-boards and Pepsi Perfect kiosks at every corner cafe, because otherwise things might look fairly bleak. Not only will ‘2 Broke Girls‘ likely still be on the air, but syndicated on a major cable network as well.
Everybody Loves Ray Romano Guest Starring on ‘Parenthood’
‘Parenthood’ has flown in somewhat under the radar of NBC shows, seemingly always on the bubble even as it makes it into its fourth season. Similarly, former ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ star Ray Romano’s last gig with ‘Men of a Certain Age’ on TNT didn’t turn many heads, but drew plenty of critical acclaim. So, it makes sense to combine the two, right? Right?
FOX Fall Schedule Brings Two-Night ‘X-Factor’ Premiere, ‘Touch’ Pushed Back
Sure, there’s plenty of great summer TV to keep us occupied for the next few months, but you didn’t expect us to sit back and ignore our favorite major network shows, did you? Just as NBC recently announced their fall schedule (moving ‘Community‘ back, boo!), so too has FOX unveiled their own listings. Have their been any major upsets?
NBC Delaying ‘Community’ and ’30 Rock’ Premieres HOW Long?
‘Community‘ fans are the first people to single out NBC for disregarding the show, by either never giving enough promotion, or changing its show-runner without so much of a phone call, and the newly-released official schedule for the fall is just icing on the cake. So just how long will we have to wait for fresh episodes of ‘Community,’ or even ‘30 Rock?’
HBO Apologizes for ‘Game of Thrones’ George W. Bush Head
Though the ‘Game of Thrones‘ season 1 Blu-Ray and DVD has been out for several months now, controversy is just now making the rounds about production and commentary for the show’s first season finale “Fire and Blood.” We’d seen the freak Easter Egg about former President George W. Bush being included among the severed head props used on the show, but what does HBO have to say about it?
‘Weeds’ Season 8 Confirmed To Be the Show’s Last
Looks like the ‘Weeds’ bag is empty, folks. Shut off your growth lights, pack up your bongs, and sift through the haze for more marijuana metaphors, because Showtime has decided to pass on any additional seasons of long-running Mary-Louise Parker comedy ‘Weeds.’
‘Glee’ Season 4 Casting New Series Regulars, Including Puck’s Brother?
At this point, there are probably more question marks than musical notes when it comes to ‘Glee‘s somewhat re-inventive fourth season. We do know that half the focus will move to New York City to follow Rachel Berry (Lea Michele), and presumably at least Santana (Naya Rivera), with the rest of the story taking place in good old Lima, Ohio. So if that’s the case, what new faces might we see next
‘Munsters’ Reboot ‘Mockingbird Lane’ Casts Jerry O’Connell as Herman Munster
Well, lets be honest. When was the last time you saw Jerry O’Connell, and didn’t feel like chasing him with pitchforks and fire? NBC’s reboot of ‘The Munsters,’ titled ‘Mockingbird Lane‘ has made another step (or lurch) closer to the real deal, as the family’s patriarch not has a face. Or, at the very least, one cobbled together from other faces.
Who Will Play Hannibal Lecter In the New NBC Series?
In spite of NBC’s pre-’Red Dragon’ straight-to-series drama ‘Hannibal‘ not being present at the past Upfront event, a considerable amount of buzz surrounds the series. After all, to put Hannibal Lecter on TV you’d need some ace casting, no? We already knew that Hugh Dancy would take the role of a young agent Will Graham, but we’ve been tepidly swirling our Chianti waiting for news of the man him
