The next CMT Crossroads episode will not air until June 13th, but we've got a sneak preview of what's to come when Katy Perry and Kacey Musgraves share the stage for this musical event.

The CMT original program matches a successful country artist with an artist from another genre in what often times turns out to be a pretty awesome mash up. The two artists usually meet for the first time just before the show, have one rehearsal, and then sing their biggest hits together during a live performance. CMT Crossroads also features a lot of cool interview clips between songs, giving lots of insight into the artists and songs.

In the June 13th show, the darling of the country music world (and all the country awards shows) over the past year, Kacey Musgraves will be swapping songs with none other than Katy Perry. Need an example of what I'm talking about? Check out the video of the two ladies swap verses of Katy's hit, 'Roar':

I'm really looking forward to this one. Not just because I find both Musgraves and Perry to be absolutely adorable, but no matter what type of music you prefer, you have to appreciate the talent that both of these ladies possess. It's also noteworthy that neither Perry nor Musgraves has dabbled in any genre of music other than their own. So this will be the first time we see either of these talented singers stepping outside their comfort zone. We just saw them absolutely kill 'Roar', and I can't wait how the rest of the songs turn out.

'CMT Crossroads: Katy Perry and Kacey Musgraves' premieres June 13 on CMT, followed by encore airings on VH1, MTV, MTV Hits and Palladia.

Other recent CMT Crossroads shows have featured OneRepublic with Dierks Bentley, Fall Out Boy with The Band Perry and Stevie Nicks and Lady Antebellum.
