Trace Adkins and Kellie Pickler will be celebrating the Fourth of July in 2017 the best way they can: with thousands of fans on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol. The two country artists are part of the 37th annual edition of PBS' A Capitol Fourth, airing live from Washington, DC.

Adkins is known for patriotic anthems such as "Arlington" and "'Til The Last Shot’s Fired," as well as his latest single "Still a Soldier," which the Grammy Awards nominee released in March. The song, dedicated to men and women in uniform, is from Adkins' 12th studio album Something’s Going On and will be one of the powerful tunes that he performs on July 4, 2017, during A Capitol Fourth.

Unforgettable Country Music Military Moments

Pickler, meanwhile, has gone on a number of USO Tours throughout her country music career. In 2013, she received the Heart of the Warrior Award from the USO of North Carolina, in recognition of her selfless service and contributions to lift the spirits of the troops and their families. In 2015, Pickler earned the Chris Kyle Patriot Award, also in honor of her service to the U.S. military.

Adkins and Pickler will be joined by a star-studded lineup of performers during PBS' A Capitol Fourth special, including the Beach Boys, Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray, the Four Tops, Chris Blue, the National Symphony Orchestra. The National Anthem will be performed by singer and actress Sofia Carson.

In 2017, A Capitol Fourth will be hosted by John Stamos and air live from 8PM until 9:30PM ET on PBS. It will also be available for live listening on NPR stations worldwide and live-streaming on Facebook Live as well.
