The Ride for Change Poker Run & After Party is May 15th
The Ride for Change will wrap up in Abilene, on Saturday May 15th, with a poker run and lots of live music.
Until June 30th, The Ride for Change will be raising funds, and used band instruments, for low-income students who would like to play in their local school band.
The ride, itself, is May 3rd through the 15th and will visit cities across Texas and Oklahoma to raise awareness for this fundraising campaign. The ride will end in Abilene on the 15th at Kent's Harley-Davidson, where the poker run will start and finish.
The poker run is free to the public and will have prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, in the form of $200, $100, and $50 in-store gift cards, respectively.
We will also be serving up BBQ sandwiches (pulled pork) and chips for a donation that goes directly to The Ride for Change.
After the bikes get in, from the poker run, we'll have live music outdoors, at Kent's, featuring "Walk this Way: A Tribute to Aerosmith". They'll take the stage around 2pm and will play a couple of hours. As with all parties, at Kent's, you'll want to bring a lawn chair and your own cooler of beverages.
Once the live music is complete at Kent's, we'll head on over to Potosi Live for the after party, which is also free to the public. Whiskey D. will be performing live at Potosi Live that night.
From the depths of South Texas comes a hellraisin', guitar swingin', drum bangin', bass thumpin', hellbound singin', Texas outlaw music band! [Whiskey D. Fan Page]
So, basically, we're looking at a full day and night of motorcycle riding, live music, and delicious food...all to benefit The Ride for Change.
Just a heads up, the floor tables at Potosi Live will be for reservations. So, if you want to sit on the floor, then make your reservation now by calling 325-529-3111. Bar and balcony seating are first come, first served.
