‘The Counselor’ Trailer: Michael Fassbender Has Been Very Bad
The full-length trailer for Ridley Scott's 'The Counselor' has arrived online, and there's only one thing this movie wants to know: Have you been bad? Well, it seems Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem and Michael Fassbender certainly have, judging by the action in the trailer. There's not much explicitly described about the plot, which is kind of how we like our trailers.
In the new film, scripted by famed author Cormac McCarthy ('No Country For Old Men'), some of our best leading men do some very bad things, and it looks like they're getting the ladies (Cameron Diaz and Penelope Cruz) involved, too. Criminal underworld, shady lawyers, Brad Pitt with long hair in a cowboy hat, shiny cars and lots of jazzy sunglasses -- can we see this now?
The official synopsis:
Legendary filmmaker Ridley Scott and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Cormac McCarthy ('No Country for Old Men') have joined forces in the motion picture thriller 'The Counselor,' starring Michael Fassbender, Javier Bardem, Brad Pitt, Penélope Cruz and Cameron Diaz. McCarthy, making his screenwriting debut, and Scott interweave the author's characteristic wit and dark humor with a nightmarish scenario, in which a respected lawyer's dalliance with an illegal business deal spirals out of control.
'The Counselor' hits theaters on October 25.
