Ronnie Milsap has announced he's postponing two upcoming concerts scheduled to take place in Iowa due to illness.

The 76-year-old country icon was slated to perform on Friday evening (May 17) at the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort in Riverside, Iowa, followed by a show on Saturday (May 18) at the Grand Falls Casino and Golf Resort in Larchwood, Iowa. His team posted to Facebook on Thursday (May 16) to let fans know that those shows would not go forward as planned.

"The Ronnie Milsap shows on 5/17 and 5/18 at Riverside Casino and Golf Resort and Grand Falls Casino & Golf Resort are being rescheduled due to Ronnie feeling under the weather," the message reads. "Please hold onto your tickets as all tickets will be honored for the rescheduled date that will be announced as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience."

The posting does not provide details regarding the nature of Milsap's illness. No makeup dates have yet been announced. According to Milsap's official website, his next scheduled live date show is set for May 23 at the Cypress Bayou Casino in Charenton, La.

The country legend is best known for a string of hits that made him into one of the biggest country and crossover hitmakers of the '70s and '80s, including "Pure Love," "It Was Almost Like a Song," "Only One Love in My Life," "Smoky Mountain Rain" and more. He is a CMA, ACM and Grammy Award winner, and he's been inducted into both the Grand Ole Opry and the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Milsap released his most recent album, Ronnie Milsap: The Duets, on Jan. 18. The hits collection features his collaborations with stars including Luke Bryan, Dolly PartonJason AldeanWillie NelsonLittle Big TownGeorge Strait, Kacey Musgraves, and more.

It's been a tough year for Milsap and his family; his son, Todd, was found dead on his houseboat just outside of Nashville on Feb. 23 at the age of 49.
