Another day, another history-making chart record for country powerhouse Luke Combs: He's set yet another new milestone on the Billboard charts, and this time around, he's outdone none other than Garth Brooks.

Combs' just-release sophomore record, What You See is What You Get, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart for the week ending Nov. 14, following the project's Nov. 8 release. What You See is What You Get launched with 172,000 equivalent album units, 109,000 of which came from album sales. Not only did that accomplishment mark Combs' first No. 1 on the chart, but it was also the largest week for a country album in more than a year, and the largest streaming week for a country album ever, Billboard reports.

As if that weren't enough, Combs placed 16 of What You See is What You Get's songs on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart during the week, marking the greatest number of songs a single artist has ever charted during that time frame. That title was previously held by Brooks, who placed 12 tracks on the Hot Country Songs chart during the week of December 6, 1997.

In recent months, Combs has nabbed records previously set by a plethora of iconic country artists. In late October, he tied with Shania Twain for longest-reigning album to sit atop Billboard's Country Albums chart at 50 non-consecutive weeks. In the same blow, he  bested Randy Travis' standing record as the longest-reigning male artist to have an album at No. 1 on that chart.

Combs' first album, This One's for You, was the project that netted him the two latter records; additionally, all five of that album's singles hit No. 1 at country radio. In the summer of 2019, he also became the first artist to simultaneously place five songs in the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart's Top 25 since Johnny Cash did so in 1959.

Furthermore, Combs recently took home trophies in the categories of Song of the Year (for "Beautiful Crazy") and Male Vocalist of the Year at the 2019 CMA Awards.
