Kelly Clarkson will be making her debut as a coach on The Voice in no time at all, but the singer couldn't resist an invitation to appear on the finale of Season 13 Tuesday (Dec. 19).

Clarkson--who of course holds the inaugural American Idol title--obviously knows her way around vocal competitions, and then some. So, her debut televised performance of her new single, “Medicine,” was a piece of cake for the veteran performer.

Clarkson served as an advisor earlier in the season on the program, working with all four judges. She will join Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Alicia Keys on the 14th season of NBC's The Voice, where she thinks she'll be a refreshing mix of coaching styles overall.

According to Us Weekly, Clarkson, during her album release party at iHeartRadio Theater in October, said she feels like "I’m a mix of Simon [Cowell] and Blake [Shelton]. I’m constructive because it would be impossible for me not to be, if you know my mother. I grew up with constructive criticism. And it made me a better human … I’m just saying I think that I’m incapable of not giving criticism constructively. So I think that’s like Simon.”

Clarkson previously appeared on The Voice in 2015 in a performance with Meghan Linsey and Koryn Hawthorne. She also performed a song from the musical Hamilton titled "It's Quiet Uptown," in a duet with Billy Gilman in December of 2016.
