Taylor Sheridan sure has made a name for himself for his TV shows and ranching and rodeoing. You know him and love him for "Yellowstone," "1883," and "1923, and  we do know he has a "Yellowstone" spin-off coming titled "6666."  We also know that Taylor Sheridan also has a new show coming about life in the oilfield titled " Landman, which will do some shooting right here in West Texas with real roughnecks.

The new series "Land Man" is based on a podcast called "Boomtown."  Deadline sums it up like this: “Land Man is set in the proverbial boomtowns of West Texas and is a modern-day tale of fortune-seeking in the world of oil rigs. The series is an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it’s reshaping our climate, our economy, and our geopolitics."

A life all of us in West Texas know all too well. From that description, it kind of sounds like 2016 here in the Permian Basin. That is why Taylor Sheridan is looking for real-life roughnecks to play extras in the new show. The production company is looking for those who work in oil rigs. For this in other positions in the oil industry,  you can apply to be cast in the series, not just an extra.

:

We're working on Landman for Taylor Sheridan. We're trying to get a pool of people with REAL Oil and Gas Experience that would be willing to work on camera as an oil and gas worker. We don't know what dates and times you'll be needed but we're trying to build up our pool for when we actually need people. We may need you locally in Fort Worth or Weatherford. Or we may need you farther out like Odessa or Midland or somewhere in between. For now, we're trying to see what skills you have and report it back to our producers. We may even do a training or demonstration etc... Thanks so much! WE ARE LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WITH FIELD EXPERIENCE ON A RIG. (If you have other types of experience that's wonderful and you should apply for other roles on this show when they come up likely in January 2024.)

Please note that the date attached to this character is just a placeholder. We DO NOT know the dates yet but we'll film this starting in February to Summer in 2024. There is pay and travel pay etc... with these roles. We're trying to show pictures and skill sets to our production staff. If you have questions, comments etc... please email us at extras@legacycasting.com or text us at 323-739-8727 if you text please tell us your name! ;)

If you get picked to be part of Taylor Sheridan's new series "Land Man," don't forget us little people.
