There's nothing like the weather in Texas. Except during summer in the state, everyone just wants to skip that entire whole season don't we? But when it cools down, there's one thing that we all can enjoy right?

The Texas night, when it's not nearly 90 degrees to stand in, is something out of a movie sometimes. Just taking in the scenery of the state in cool temps? You just have to experience it. With the moon shining as well, it sounds perfect.

But when the moon is going through a special event, you have to see it to believe it. For one night coming up soon in 2023, the moon won't be red, but it'll be full, twice over.

A Blue Moon In Texas? Aren't You Talking About The Beer?

Nope, we're not talking about the alcohol. Instead, a true blue moon will be over the Lone Star State. But when exactly will it making its grand appearance?

According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, there are not one, but two, special moons appearing in the month of August 2023. The month begins with a supermoon on the first on the month, which is a very strong start isn't it?

But here's our favorite part, a blue moon will be over the state of Texas. But, the moon itself won't be blue sadly. Instead, the term means that two times in the month, we've gotten a full moon.

The second full moon AKA the blue moon, will occur on August 30, 2023. The Star-Telegram states the next blue moon won't happen again until 2026, so we better not miss this one!
