Those of us blessed to live in Texas know it is the best place to be any day of the year, but a new survey finds that Texas is an exceptionally great place to be on Thanksgiving as well! According to a new WalletHub report, San Antonio is the number one place to spend Thanksgiving.


 


 

WalletHub's Thanksgiving Methodology

To figure out which city is the be all end all for Thanksgiving Day festivities, WalletHub looked at the 100 largest cities in the United States and then factored in weather, food costs, crime rate, hotel affordability, flight delays and charitable giving history.

San Antonio is the Place to be This Thanksgiving!

Wallethub says San Antonio stands out due to its mild November weather and the plethora of top rated restaurants to choose from (for those who do not relish the idea of slaving over a stove on Thanksgiving). A look at Thanksgiving google searches in San Antonio also finds plenty of holiday related activities.

The Lonestar State has Several Cities in the WalletHub Top 10

San Antonio was not the only Texas city to make the top 10 list for best Thanksgiving cities. Plano, Texas came in at number 7, Irving, Texas came in at number 6 and Dallas, Texas ranked  number 4.

The Rest of the Top 10 List

Atlanta, Georgia was number 2 on the WalletHub list due to its great restaurant options and the high number of on time flights to the city. Virginia Beach, Virginia, came in 3rd.
