However, when it comes to women in Texas, the state is at the bottom when it comes to women's equality.

In fact, Texas is number 49 in the country!!!

One could say, "At least we aren't last."  Seriously! No.  How would you like the doctor who was 2nd to last in their class to operate on you?  You wouldn't.

Texas lately hasn't been seen in a very bright light and knowing that Texas is the 2nd to last state in the country for equality.  That's not a good thing.

Why is Texas at the bottom for women's equality?

WalletHub conducted a study on Women's Equality, and their study found Texas to be at the bottom for women's equality.

For a woman, who lives in Texas, hearing this news does sting a bit.  Although women have come far and fought for equality through the decades, it seems Texas has stepped back a bit.

This needs to change!

To determine where women receive the most equal treatment, the study compared the 50 states across 17 key indicators of gender equality. The data set ranges from the gap between female and male executives to the disparity in unemployment rates for women and men.

Women’s Equality in Texas (1=Best; 25=Avg.):

  • 32nd – Executive Positions Gap
  • 22nd – Work Hours Gap
  • 17th – Entrepreneurship Rate Gap
  • 39th – Political Representation Gap
  • 49th – Education and Health Gap

It's time Texas saw more of its women in executive positions in our Texas House and Senate and in our US government.

When it comes to health care in Texas, it's time for women to step up and get loud.  Gaslighting women when it comes to their health concerns, and this is not just in Texas, is a real thing.

The one thing about Texas women is they don't put up with a lot of [poop].  Nine times out of 10, if there is a man in power in Texas, there's a woman behind the scenes who is really running the show.  Let's get those women out in front and by the time 2024 rolls around, Texas won't be at the bottom for women's equality anymore.
