Leaving East Texas? These Are the Best Last Meal Spots
(East Texas) If you were moving away from East Texas for good, and you had one meal left to eat before leaving town, where would you go?
Why This Question Is So Hard to Answer
If that question were asked of me, I sure would have a hard time deciding on where my last meal in East Texas would be. I have so many favorite restaurants to choose from that it would be hard to answer.
What Makes a Restaurant Worth One Last Visit
If you asked a friend that question, I'm sure they would say their favorite spot, knowing that it could spark a debate amongst lifelong friends. We have all created memories at so many places around town. When it comes to making the decision, though, everyone will eventually pick their favorite restaurant for one reason or another. Their favorite could be based upon the atmosphere of the restaurant, the quality of the food, price, location, the type of cuisine, or even the staff. All legitimate reasons for having one more meal at a special place before leaving town.

Popular East Texas Restaurants Mentioned
Maybe your last meal would be at Torchy's Taco on the patio with your friends and your dogs while enjoying tacos and a margarita. Maybe it's brisket or ribs, with a beer and live music at Stanley's Famous Pit Barbecue as you lick the sauce from your fingers. Or something classy and romantic at Villagio del Vino in Tyler.
There are so many good places to have a last meal at before leaving the Rose City, Longview, Mineola, Athens, Henderson, or even Kilgore.
