The Texas Lottery has made yet another lucky Texan $1 million richer. Is it just me, or have they been handing out money like drunken middle-aged bankers at the strip club these days? Yes, they have been quite generous as of late.
Scratch-Off Tickets Becoming the Best Bet in Texas Lottery
My experience since I first started covering lottery winners, not quite a year ago, is that scratch-offs seem to be your best bet when playing the lottery. It’s rare that a week will go by without someone hitting the jackpot in a scratch ticket game.

The latest lucky winner hit the $1 million jackpot in the Power 20s game, according to a press release. The lucky ticket was purchased at 7-Eleven 36505H, located at 1800 State Highway 35 S. (Suite A), in Port Lavaca. As is typically the case, the winner wisely chose to remain anonymous.
Power 20s Game Still Has Multiple $1 Million and $10,000 Prizes Remaining
There is still plenty of money to win in the game. That was only the first of four $1 million jackpots to be claimed. On top of that, as I write this, there are still 24 $10,000 winning tickets remaining in the Power 20s game. The odds of winning a prize are one in 3.61, including break-even prizes.
Aside from awarding billions of dollars in prizes to players since its inception in 1992, the Texas Lottery has also given billions of dollars to support education in the Lone Star State, as well as Texas veterans.
