Have I ever mentioned just how much I love cereal? As someone who doesn’t get hungry until late in the morning, I rarely eat breakfast. So, cereal was always my favorite after-school snack as a kid. I would sit about three feet in front of the TV and watch Scooby-Doo while chowing down on a big ol' bowl after I got home from school.

And to tell you the truth, there aren’t too many cereals I don’t like (even though I’m a bigger fan of the unhealthiest varieties, which are basically like eating a big bowl of sugar). But if I had to name my favorite, it would probably be either Fruity Pebbles or Cocoa Pebbles, and I’m not sure if I could decide which I prefer because it depends on what I’m in the mood for.

So, I was curious when I saw that researchers with Concordia University, St. Paul, used Google search data to determine each state’s favorite cereal. Not surprisingly, most Texans lean toward Froot Loops, which was the most popular cereal in the majority of states. And let me tell you, I have eaten many bowls of Froot Loops in my lifetime. It’s definitely among my favorites.

But when it comes to my aforementioned favorites, Fruity Pebbles is the favorite cereal in Rhode Island, and Cocoa Pebbles tops the list in Nevada. I’ve been trying to eat a little healthier lately, so it’s been a while since I’ve enjoyed a bowl of cereal. After writing this, I think it’s time for a cheat day.
