Well it's that time of year where students are graduating across the country and every year speeches go viral. How about a speech straight from the heart that gave a North Texas crowd an audible gasp.

Alem Hadzic Gives Speech Shortly After His Father's Funeral

Pictured above is Early College High School Valedictorian Alem Hadzic. Normally, a graduation speech is something that is prepared weeks in advance. However, Alem changed his speech to share what he went through just 45 minutes before his graduation. Alem laid his father to rest right before his graduation. Alem's father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer back in January and unfortunately lost that battle the day before his graduation.

Watch Alem's Speech Below

Alem admits in his speech he did not want to be up there giving a speech right after the funeral, but he knows his father would have wanted him to do it.

I can’t throw away something he worked so hard for me to achieve. And that’s why I’m going to go to college and I’m going to spend every hour of every day working to achieve my goals because that’s what he wanted and I’m going to do it for him.

I don't know if many folks remember the valedictorian's graduation speech from when they graduated. I have to imagine everyone in that room is going to remember this kid forever.
