A new survey just came out for the best football cities in Texas and some BIG names are missing out of the top ten.

The Dallas Cowboys played their first game last night so football is officially back in my book. Friday night high school football is getting ready all across the state for tonight and colleges are getting ready for some big games tomorrow. Wallethub broke down the best cities in Texas for football fans and I can't believe what they chose to leave off for the top ten in Texas.

How Do You Determine the Best Football Cities in Texas for Fans?

Having a NFL team in the city is huge points for the score. Also how much success they have had in their history. Things like value of the team are also accounted for. So even though the Cowboys haven't won anything recently, their overall success and franchise worth actually got Dallas the second best city in America for football.

The biggest omission on the list is Austin in my opinion. When it comes to major cities in the state, Austin shouldn't be losing out to Denton as a better football city. Lubbock and College Station also being left out of the top ten is one of the more bizarre things I have ever seen. Also Fort Worth and Waco makes no sense either.

Wallethub, re-crunch the numbers because I think someone is smoking crack while on the job this week.
