I was recently reading an article from My San Antonio where actor Dennis Quaid is pushing for Texas to become the United States' new film production capital. You can tell a shift has begun, with many actors and production companies already moving to the Lone Star State. I'm all for it, and here are some reasons why.

With cities like Austin, Dallas, and Houston growing as talent hotspots, Texas is serious about filmmakers, actors, and technicians. Plus, film festivals like SXSW and the Austin Film Festival attract experts from all over the world.
Plenty of Support
Many Texas communities are supportive of the arts and stand ready to take in the film industry with open arms. This provides local talent and resources that could benefit film production.

Great perk. Texas offers a range of financial incentives to filmmakers, including grants and tax credits. Sometimes it all comes down to money.
Texas holds huge potential to be the new film capital of the U.S. Its landscapes, cost-effective opportunities, beneficial tax incentives, and more, create the perfect environment for filmmakers. I say it’s high time the red carpet be rolled out for Texas.
