Celebrate Texas State Parks Day 2024: Free Entry and Outdoor Fun Await!

Sunday, November 3rd, 2024, will be "Texas State Parks Day", a day devoted to celebrating our awesome state parks, and the best part is, that it is free admission to all who visit that day. With over 80 state parks in Texas, this is the perfect chance to take in our state’s all natural beauty. Whether you want to relax or seek adventure, Texas State Parks have something for everyone.

A Centennial Tradition Continues

Last year, Texas State Parks (TSP) celebrated their 100th birthday, and the tradition continues, with free day-use entry at all state parks across Texas. As the Director of Texas State Parks, Rodney Franklin says: “Any day in a Texas State Park is a good day. We hope that this annual event inspires every Texan to explore our beautiful parks, and take family a friends, into the great outdoors.”

Local Parks Highlight: Abilene and San Angelo

For those of us here in West Texas, we have the Abilene State Park and San Angelo State Park. Candice Johnson, Director at the Abilene State Park, confirmed that the park will be offering free admission on November 3rd, and she invites everyone to come enjoy the day.
