Abilene, get ready for a night of rockin' entertainment featuring Pecos & the Rooftops at the Abilene Zoo. Hailing from Lubbock, the majority of Pecos & the Rooftops' success is due to a very loyal fan base that picked up on one of their earliest releases, "This Damn Song". To the surprise of all involved, from management to band members, the single became a huge streaming download hit. The record labels' interests piqued, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Warner Bros. Music signed the band and got to work on getting Pecos & the Rooftops introduced to the rest of the world. Since 2019 they've been up for awards and are making chart-topping history. This is a bucket list band you must check out.

Pecos & the Rooftops are ready to Rock and Roar at the Abilene Zoo's annual show on Friday, September 8th, 2023. Expect to hear "This Damn Song" as part of the set (listen in the video below).

Abilene Zoo officials say this is the ultimate date night because the zoo is offering a special package where one can bring the kids and they can be entertained at the Abilene Zoo Camp while parents enjoy dinner, drinks, and the concert. Kick back and relax on the Abilene Zoo's lawn, all while you rocking out to “Wouldn’t Have to Miss You” (as seen in video below).

Tickets for this exciting event are $35 per adult and $10 for kids (ages 3-12), and include complete zoo access. Barbecue plates, a full bar, and concessions will be available for purchase. For tickets or more information, contact the Abilene Zoo at (325) 676-6085.

Gates will open at 6:00 PM with The Droptines performing too. They are an alternative country band from Concan. Make plans to be at Rock and Roar on September 8.
