Big Brothers Big Sisters Benefit From the 2023 Tour de Gap Texas

The 40th annual Tour de Gap bicycle race that benefits Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of the Big Country returns for 2023. The race is set for Saturday/July 22 and Sunday/July 23 through the scenic community of Buffalo Gap.

The Tour de Gap and Bike for Kid's Sake rallies have combined for one huge family-friendly event. All riders under the age of 14 can ride free, as long as a paying adult accompanies them.

The Tour de Gap is even more popular these days, as it's grown to over 300 participants from across Texas. Participants will cycle through Buffalo Gap and the surrounding communities.

On Saturday, riders can choose between the 11-mile, 50K, or 100K routes. A pre-registration fee of $50 for adults must be paid by Thursday, July 20. Registration after July 20 is only $60. Children under the age of 14 can ride free, so long as a paying adult accompanies them.

On Sunday, July 23, you're invited to participate in the Steamboat Mountain time trial on a beautiful 20K ride around the mountain and hill country area. It all starts at the Main Street Station in Buffalo Gap.

All monies raised will stay in Abilene and go directly to Abilene's Big Brothers Big Sisters. BBBS is a mentoring program that matches adult volunteers to a child in need.
