Dierks Bentley Now Has His Own Music Festival, Seven Peaks in Colorado
Dierks Bentley loves the great outdoors, and he loves Colorado. After performing at Telluride Bluegrass Festival (and writing and recording his forthcoming album The Mountain there), he wasn't ready to say goodbye. That's how Seven Peaks Music Festival was born.
Bentley won't just headline, he's practically working the Buena Vista, Colo., event. He plans to perform several times throughout the weekend (Labor Day, Aug. 31-Sept. 2) and will mingle with campers, drink beers with fans and generally just enjoy what he's built.
Miranda Lambert, Brothers Osborne, Elle King, Lanco, Del McCoury, Sam Bush and the Cadillac Three will join him as performers, with more acts to be announced in the coming weeks.
"This is a dream come true for me," Bentley admits. "It’s no secret that I love everything about Colorado ... the fans, the venues we’ve played and of course, the landscape. We are bringing it all together with this festival. It’s our own ‘field of dreams,’ where we are putting everything we have into it, with no details overlooked, in hopes it is the ultimate festival experience."
The will take full advantage of the beautiful space he's chosen, which is ideal for hiking, biking and playing in the river and lake. Big fans already know he's been teasing the festival on social media over the past several days, like in this hilarious clip in which he literally tests the (very cold) water:
Seven Peaks Music Festival three-day passes are on sale starting April 20 at 10AM MST via sevenpeaksfestival.com.
