Dierks Bentley has shared "Burning Man," off of his new album The Mountain, as his next single. Featuring his tourmates Brothers Osborne, the song is one of Bentley's favorites on the album, according to the artist; readers can press play above to hear the upbeat, relatable tune.

“I felt an immediate connection to the lyrics," Bentley tells People of "Burning Man." "The idea that we all are a little bit of everything … a little bit holy water and a little bit burning man … really resonated with me."

"Half your life you struggle / Half your life you fly / Half your life making trouble / Half your life making it right / One day I'm the exception / Most days I'm just like most / Some days I'm headed in the right direction / And some days I ain't even close," Bentley sings in the first verse of "Burning Man," describing that mix of progress and stasis, intention and digression, that make up how humans move through life.

"I'm a little bit steady / But still a little bit rolling stone / I'm a little bit heaven / But still a little bit flesh and bone / Little found / Little don't know where I am / I'm a little bit holy water / A little bit burning man," the chorus continues, driving home the message. As the tracks chugs along, the Brothers Osborne join in, taking lead on the second verse and blending harmonies with Bentley on the bridge.

“I’ve never heard a song communicated like this in country music before." Bentley says. "I love Brothers Osborne both as musicians and people, and I knew they would connect to the song like I did. Performing it with them is certainly a highlight in the show for me."

The Mountain was released on June 8. Bentley's summertime 2018 Mountain High Tour, featuring opening performances from Lanco and the Brothers Osborne, kicked off in mid-May.
