By now, we've all come to the realization that there's a "holiday" for just about anything. Well, Bulldogs are no exception to this, but because they're so adorable, we should celebrate.

"National Bulldogs are Beautiful Day" happens annually on April 21st so I reached out to some friends, with bulldogs, for some photos of their cute little (chunky) canine and now I'm totally in love.

Scroll a little further to see the gallery of bulldogs.

Each year, people express appreciation and celebrate these adorable creatures on National Bulldogs Are Beautiful Day. Those who own bulldogs pamper them and treat them to their favorite snacks. Some owners buy cute outfits for their dogs and post pictures with them on social media. [NationalToday.com]

Speaking of Bulldogs, they are one of the most common mascots in both high school and college sports, including over 40 universities naming their teams after bulldogs.

A great way to celebrate your beautiful bulldog, this year, is to take them to one of our area dog-friendly restaurants. However, before you do that, go ahead and schedule your pup for a day at the spa.

If you have a bulldog, of any breed, then send me a photo of your pooch and I'll get him/her added to the gallery.

So whether you have a French, English, or American Bulldog, make sure you celebrate their day, each year, on April 21st.

To prepare yourself for a potential incident, always keep your vet's phone number handy, along with an after-hours clinic you can call in an emergency. The ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center also has a hotline you can call at (888) 426-4435 for advice.

Even with all of these resources, however, the best cure for food poisoning is preventing it in the first place. To give you an idea of what human foods can be dangerous, Stacker has put together a slideshow of 30 common foods to avoid. Take a look to see if there are any that surprise you.
