Once Super Bowl Sunday (Feb. 3) rolls around and the controversies and the trash talking and the singing of the national anthem are behind us, it will finally be time for kick-off. It will also be time for an ice-cold beer.

Luckily, there is an endless choice of beers that you can pour to accompany your mix of chicken wings and cheese dip. But who wants just a normal old can of beer on such an important day? Did you know that beer can actually be included in an endless array of cocktails?

The only problem will be choosing just one. Therefore, we have four for you to try.

Borrowed from our friends at Food Network, these four beer-infused cocktail recipes will be just what the doctor ordered as you watch the New England Patriots take on the Los Angeles Rams.

Cheers!

Beer Margaritas

Ingredients:

1 lime, cut into eight wedges
1/4 cup coarse salt
2 (12-ounce) bottles your favorite beer, chilled
1/2 cup frozen concentrate limeade, thawed
1/2 cup chilled tequila
Ice cubes

Directions:

Rub lime wedges around rims of four margarita glasses. Dip rims into salt to coat lightly. In a medium pitcher, combine beer, limeade, and tequila. Fill prepared glasses with ice, then with margarita mixture. Garnish with remaining lime wedges. Serve immediately.

Beer Sangria

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups white grape juice
1 cup vodka
1 cup seedless grapes, halved
1 crisp red apple, quartered, cored and sliced 1/4-inch thick
1 orange, quartered and sliced
Five 12-ounce bottles wheat beer, well chilled

Directions:

Combine the grape juice, vodka, grapes, apples and oranges in a pitcher. Refrigerate at least one hour and up to eight hours for the flavors to infuse. Fill wine glasses halfway with the grape juice mixture and some fruit. Fill the rest of the glass with beer.

Lime Beer Cocktail

Ingredients:

1 (6-pack) light beer
1 can frozen limeade
1 lime, sliced in half

Directions:

Pour beer into a large pitcher. Add still-frozen limeade and stir to combine. (Stirring with a metal utensil can reduce foam.) Allow foam to settle. Squeeze half a lime into pitcher. Finely slice the other lime half and place into pitcher for garnish. Pour into chilled glasses and serve cold.

Frozen Beergaritas

Ingredients:

3/4 cup silver tequila
1/2 cup fresh lime juice (from about 5 limes), plus wedges for garnish
1/2 cup fresh orange juice (from 1 orange)
1/3 cup sugar
Kosher salt
Two 12-ounce bottles Mexican pilsner, well chilled

Directions:

Stir together the tequila, lime juice, orange juice and sugar until the sugar dissolves. Pour the mixture into a baking dish and freeze until hard, about five hours. Scrape the mixture with a fork to break it into small ice crystals. Spread two tablespoons salt on a small plate. Moisten the rims of four large martini glasses with a lime wedge and invert onto the salt. Distribute the frozen margarita among the glasses, and then top each with half a beer. Garnish with a lime wedge and serve.
