Bebe Rexha Thought She Was Working With Little Big Town, Not Florida Georgia Line
While Bebe Rexha is enjoying the success of her chart-topping collaboration with Florida Georgia Line, it’s safe to say that the pop star didn’t know much about country music beforehand.
In fact, when the pop superstar met the "Cruise" duo for the first time, she thought she was collaborating with Little Big Town!
“I can’t lie,” Bebe tells CMT’s Cody Alan during a recent interview about the song “Meant To Be," which she actually co-wrote alongside FGL’s Tyler Hubbard. “I had met Little Big Town at one of the awards [shows]. When I walked in the studio, I saw Tyler there, and I said ‘Where are the other band members?’ I told Tyler and he started laughing."

Rexha's getting the last laugh, though, considering the song is one of the biggest of the year. "Meant to Be" landed at No. 1 on both the Billboard Country Airplay and Country Aircheck/Mediabase Country charts.
“From day one, this song was just meant to be,” Hubbard says of the hit. “Bebe jumped in on a canceled writing session last minute and now it’s going down in history.”
“It’s been nothing but good vibes to see it take off and inspire. Its message is a positive one and why I think it’s connecting with those who hear it,” adds FGL’s Brian Kelley. “We can’t thank country radio enough for all of the support."
