First things first: How did it take this long for someone to cast John Turturro as Jenny Slate’s dad?! Now that we’ve gotten that important business out of the way, let’s discuss the first trailer for Landline, which looks insanely good. Slate reunites with Obvious Child filmmaker Gillian Robespierre — and really, you don’t need much more of a sales pitch than that, but the trailer is still worth a watch (or two, or three…I may have a problem).

With the recent announcement that Transformers: The Last Knight would be hitting theaters two days earlier  —  moving from Friday, June 23 to Wednesday, June 21  —  fans are closer than ever to seeing their favorite Autobots (and humans) throw down against a reluctantly evil Optimus Prime. This is the summer of heel turns by beloved franchise characters; first we saw Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto betray his family in The Fate of the Furious, and now we’re counting down the days until Optimus Prime stabs Bumblebee in the face. Rough summer for heroes, it would seem.

Flying in under the radar for a July premiere, HBO’s John Turturro-led miniseres The Night Of (formerly Criminal Justice) at last has a full trailer, looking more and more like the True Detective Season 3 we might never get. See for yourself, as the one-time Gandolfini-led series finally gets its moment in the sun with some stylistic new footage.

It’s taken some time for HBO miniseries Criminal Justice (now The Night Of) to go to trial, after John Turturro replaced Robert DeNiro in a role intended for James Gandolfini, and now a familiar first trailer arrives for the July premiere. There’s a long bright dark ahead for the criminal HBO drama, but maybe time’s just a flat circle, man.

It’s been almost two years since John Turturro replaced Robert DeNiro in the HBO Criminal Justice series originally developed and intended for James Gandolfini, and the project has finally moved forward. Re-named The Night Of, HBO has set a summer premiere for the long-awaited drama, fleshing out the cast with some HBO favorites as well.

Ridley Scott's 'Exodus' is looking to have an all-star cast. Besides Christian Bale and possibly Joel Edgerton, Aaron Paul is now in negotiations to join the cast along with 'Iron Man 3' star Ben Kingsley, while 'Alien' alum Sigourney Weaver and John Turturro have officially signed on.

I can't say for sure whether the movie made the soundtrack a hit, or was it that the soundtrack made the movie a silver screen sensation? Nonetheless, I went out and bought them both, what seems like just a couple of years ago. Now a decade later O Brother, Where Art Thou? the soundtrack, will be re-released with 17 additional hypnotic tunes.
