Punch Brothers fans rejoice: The band has announced that not only are they finishing up a brand-new album, but that they will be heading out on tour this summer! The country-classical, bluegrass-flavored five-piece, consisting of Chris Thile, Gabe Witcher, Noam Pikelny, Chris Eldridge and Paul Kowert, has been hard at work in the studio and busy making plans for tour dates to come.

"We've spent most of the month recording and we will be back in the studio in a couple weeks to bring it home," the group shares on their Instagram. "We are champin' at the bit to share all of this new music with you -- the Big Time Summer Tour can't come soon enough."

"We'll be making our way all across the U.S., including dates with Andrew Bird, a couple of which are fittingly in a zoo," the group continues. "There's also a very special Red Rocks show with Gillian Welch. For the rest of the tour, we're excited to have Madison Cunningham kicking things off each night."

In that same announcement, the Punch Brothers also shared that, for the first time ever, they are giving fans a chance to purchase what they are calling "exclusive Punch Brothers' Big Time Friend Packages." These packages include tickets, a Q&A with the band during a pre-show performance, some of their custom coffee and merch.

Tickets for the Big Time Summer Tour are on sale now through the group's official website. The Instagram post above shares the list of stops and details.
