Only In Texas Would Bass Pro Shops See A Throwdown

I've only ever been inside a Bass Pro Shop once, but I found it to be quite lovely, definitely a great place to get some fishing supplies. You would figure with the scenery would be calming for customers, but for some it was rage inducing, turning into one of my newest favorite fight videos.

But only in Texas would a grand opening at Bass Pro Shops turn into a full-blown brawl! The brand-new Odessa location hadn’t even finished reeling in its first day’s crowd before someone decided to open a can of whoop bass right in front of the fishing section. Luckily for us, there’s video of it because of course there is.

Shoppers Shocked as Texas Bass Pro Grand Opening Explodes in Chaos

According to Odessa police, officers were called around 2:52 p.m. Saturday after two men started arguing while waiting in line for the restroom. That argument quickly went from words to wrestling, and before anyone could say “chill”, four grown men were throwing hands like it was the Bass Pro Boxing Classic. The video shows multiple scuffles breaking out across the crowded store as other shoppers try (and fail) to stay out of the way.

One woman can be heard yelling, “These grown-ass men act like idiots! And you wonder why our schools are falling apart!” a commentary that might just outshine the punches, I think she might be my hero!

And to think, Odessa had just celebrated the grand opening four days earlier, calling it a “step forward” for local jobs and tourism, but apparently, progress packs a punch!

Video of the brawl quickly spread which then led to some funny responses.
