Archaeologists Unearth Long Forgotten Artifacts In A West Texas Cave
Marfa, Texas -- An exciting discovery was made earlier this week in West Texas. Archaeologists have unearthed artifacts in a cave that are suspected to be untouched or have not seen the light of day for thousands of years. This includes a fully complete weapon that is described by some as one of the oldest ever found in the United States.

For years, researchers from the Center for Big Bend Studies and the Odyssey Archaeological Research Fund at the University of Kansas have been conducting research in the Big Bend region of Texas.
The artifacts were described as an ancient weapon kit that appeared to be in mint condition. While some of the findings were broken, there were others that were perfectly preserved for thousands of years. The team concluded that whoever left the artifacts likely took refuge in it for a short while and then left the items behind.
It's been deemed that this remarkable discovery can give archaeologists new insight of what life was like in the Big Bend region thousands of years ago.
