Prices have been going up on every thing for the last few years and believe it or not, currently the price increase for groceries is outpacing the price increase for take out food. So, a massive Texas grocery store chain is going to drop prices on tons of their foods especially in the fresh produce and meat departments.

This is not actually the first time they have made similar adjustments to their food's price points. This past holiday season, they lowered prices on several foods, especially the preferred items families enjoy most during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and other holiday get togethers.

Summer is an especially tough time on families while kids are home from school all day raiding the pantry like it secretly has the latest iPhone version on release day. For many families they have to come up with a whole extra meal because lunch has been provided while the school year was in session.

How exactly is this grocery chain going to slash prices on so many items? It looks like Aldi and their 127 current Texas locations will shift their focus from margins and look to make their money on straight volume.
