According to the new Retailer Preference Index, that comes out every year courtesy of dunnhumby, H-E-B is the favorite supermarket in the entire country, but you can only find them in Texas or Mexico. According to this Business Wire article, the grocery game in the United States is over a $1 trillion business, and several grocery stores are believed to leave billions off of their yearly ledgers simply because of a lack of customer care.

This is the third year in a row that H-E-B has finished as the top ranked supermarket in the United States, and they seem to be growing their lead over the other grocery stores that have now been reduced to a race for second. Ask any of my three kids where they would like to go on any given day, and their immediate consensus is H-E-B.
