A New TSA Program Is In Motion, And It May Land In Texas
Flying in the state of Texas is an experience sometimes. Just fighting through traffic to get to the airport is a task itself. But then, there's the chaos that is known as security, and it can be a pain if you have a family to take through it.
Security At The Texas Airport And How Time Consuming It Can Be
Let's face it: waiting in the security line at any Texas airport can be time-consuming. There's a lot you need to do, from taking out electronics to making sure you don't have any metal items on your person. That potential stress is amplified by the fact everybody is pushing to get through.
If you have little ones too, they might get worried or scared with how everything is going. This makes things a little tougher for the parent, and some people not understanding little ones might be flustered by the situation makes it even harder.

However, things are developing that could help Texas families in the future.
TSA's “Families on the Fly” Initiative And How It Could Affect Texas
Per the Transportation Security Administration, the new way for families to go through security seems very promising. But what does it entail exactly? Well, the following:
- Dedicated family lanes at select airports nationwide
- Discounted TSA PreCheck fees for families coming soon
- Dedicated TSA PreCheck lanes for service members and their families
The good news? Testing is already underway at certain airports. Unfortunately, none of the airports that using the lanes are in the Lone Star State.
But if you're flying to Disneyworld, Hawaii, or perhaps another part of Florida like Tampa from Texas, there's a chance on the way home that a Texas family will get to use the lanes before they come to the state!
