Many in the state of Texas look forward to graduating college in their lifetime. Not only is it the culmination of one's hard work throughout school, but also a sign of how they've grown during their school years. But, as it turns out, there's no time limit on learning.

Who Recently Showed That Age Has No Limit On Learning In Texas?

Per KXAN, Charles “Chuck” Corley has shown the Lone Star State that knowledge is power, no matter what the age is. At the young age of 78, Corley recently received a Ph.D. for Electrical and Computer Engineering last year. In total, according to KXAN, it took Corley ten years to achieve this feat.

Corley was taught at Austin Community College before he learned at UT. At one point, it was even a family affair at the school, with his granddaughter and daughter learning at the same time he was.

What's even more impressive you ask? Well, this is his FIFTH degree. Yes, you read that right, he has five degrees. But why a degree from the University of Texas?

Due to the fact UT was near his location in Austin, it made a lot of sense for him to go to school where the Longhorns are located.

How Did Corley Feel About Getting The PH.D.?

Corley told KXAN:

“The whole graduation experience from UT has been heightened by the presence and the support of my family...You know, everyone faces that question, ‘Am I going to walk?’ And the answer from my children and grandchildren says, ‘Well, of course, you’re going to walk,’ and the celebration was all in their hands.”

Corley also did indeed another thing while on Campus: watching sports the school offered. His favorite you ask? Women's Volleyball, and in his words: "We watch volleyball regularly, so that’s been a lot of fun to be associated with the school that has such success in those athletic programs.”

So, remember, you're never too old to learn Texas!
