They say it's never a bad thing to grow, right? Well Texas is finding out that sometimes growing CAN be a bit of a problem, especially if it can't sustain the growth.

We've all seen Texas become a destination for so many people that have moved from their previous state, and while we welcome them with open arms, we can't outstretch them as much because there's so many more around.

A new report has come out regarding the fastest growing cities, and it's a really interesting thing to see.

Why is that? Because a different study recently said that Texas is the third-worst state to move to in 2024, yet somehow people didn't get the memo. Maybe it's because it's totally wrong, but I may be a bit biased.

Going back to the cities here. The study broke down the cities that showed the most growth year over year, and Texas placed four inside the top 10.

Yes, you read that right. There are thousands of cities across the United States people could move to, but Texas cities seemed to be the winner.

NEW BRAUNFELS

New Braunfels in Central Texas checked in at number two overall on the list, and the most moved to city in Texas. They saw an increase of over 12% from the year previous, and has jumped nearly 30% over the last five years.

GEORGETOWN

Staying in Central Texas but moving north of Austin, it was Georgetown checking in next at number four on the list. They grown by a touch over 11% year over year, and have experienced the same jump as New Braunfels over the last five years.

ATASCOCITA

Third in Texas? That would be Atascocita, a city just outside of Houston. They landed right behind Georgetown at number five overall with an increase of 11.03% year over year. Over the last five years though, they outpace all four Texas cities in the top 10 with an increase of over 38%.

CONROE

Last Texas city inside the top 10, but not least, is Conroe. Located a bit north of Houston, they saw their population grow by nearly 7% year over year, and a bit over 23% over the last five years.

So if Texas is truly one of the worst places to live, maybe someone should tell all these people who think differently. I'd like to meet the person who put that study together.
