We're all guilty of it in some form or fashion here in Amarillo. I mean, it's easy to fall victim to it because there are a lot of drivers on the road who just don't seem to understand how to drive.

Someone cuts you off and you start yelling inside the car. Maybe it's a person driving way too slow and they can't decide what they want to do. Regardless of what it is, you've experienced road rage in some fashion when those things happen.

Raise your hand if you've done one of these things.

Slam your hands on the steering wheel. Scream obscenities inside your car directed at the other person. Pull a gun out and start shooting.

Yes, you read that last one correctly. It just happened AGAIN here in Amarillo, and it's becoming an all too often reaction to other drivers on the road. The latest incident happened near FM 1912 and Hwy 60.

Thankfully, the driver with the gun didn't shoot it AT the other car, they just fired some shots in the air. No one was injured in the episode, but the other driver did call police and the person who shot in the air was arrested.

It just seems that these incidents are becoming all too common. Not necessarily guns being pulled out, but overly aggressive maneuvers that endanger not just the person you're upset with, but everyone else around you.

The amount of times I've seen people in front of me get cutoff and nearly clipped I can't even count any more. Settle down, there's no reason to get so worked up over something on the road. You aren't going to see that person again, so who cares?

Let it go. Be smarter about your reactions. Wanna talk smack in the car? Do it. Wanna slam the steering wheel? Go ahead. Let it end there.

Thrilled to Be There: the Smiling Mugshots of Hutchinson County

Hutchinson County has plenty of people who have committed a criminal blunder (or two). And just like any other bigger city, jail is no fun. However, some of the residents of Borger and Stinnett are believers in keeping their spirits high in the face of adversity.

Not sure what we mean?

Well....let's just say that Randall County's cheerful inmates aren't the only ones who seem happy to be arrested....While there’s nothing funny about committing a crime, these offenders in Hutchinson County certainly do know how to light up a pod with their smile :-)
