(Mix 93-1) Thinking about Thanksgiving, I can smell Thanksgiving lunch being cooked in my grandparents' home as I write this up. Every year, we’d travel to their house near Corsicana, Texas, to meet my aunts, uncles, and countless cousins for a Thanksgiving feast. My grandfather always carved up the biggest turkey the store had, while my grandmother made the dressing, whipped up the mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, and countless desserts, while other family members brought the other sides to complete the meal.

The food was always excellent, and there was plenty left over for snacking while watching the Dallas Cowboys game on TV later that afternoon. For a number of reasons, some of them obvious, I miss those days. We all have fond memories of Thanksgiving, and I hope yours are just as memorable.

Other local stores like Super 1 Foods, Walmart Neighborhood Market, Kroger, Brookshire's, and others could have their own Thanksgiving bundle meal available soon.
