Everyone knows about “Black Friday,” but have you ever heard of “Brown Friday”? Let’s just say that if you need a plumber, cut them some slack. They recently had their roughest day of the year.
How I Discovered This Unfortunate "Holiday"
I’ll be perfectly honest with you – I had never heard of “Brown Friday” until I came across this article from Yelp. And because I have the sense of humor of a fifteen-year-old boy, I chuckled when I learned what it meant.

In case you haven’t figured it out yet, just like “Black Friday,” “Brown Friday” is the day after Thanksgiving. Since what goes in must come out, there's a spike in emergency plumbing calls to unclog toilets after people pig out on Turkey Day.
Here’s the thing – on average, people tend to eat a little more in certain parts of the country than others. So, of course, those folks are a little more full of poop. Armed with that knowledge, researchers set out to find the most clogged cities in the country.
The Cities Most Impacted by “Brown Friday”
It turns out that Dallas is quite clogged around this time of year. So much so that it was named the second-most clogged city, behind Salt Lake City. That’s right, Big D is number two in going number two after Thanksgiving.
