Awesome! Texas Band Featured In New Marvel Movie Trailer

I am so happy for these guys!

The Blockbuster

Win, lose of bomb, there is nothing more popular than a Marvel superhero movie. We've all traveled various branches of the Marvel Universe and for the most part, the movies have made all the money. Marvel Movies should be thier own category whenever our economy is studied. People who make movie theater popcorn should subsidize these movies, that's how popular they are.

The Lineup

Right now it looks like there are four Marvel movies scheduled for 2025. Things could change but we're looking at Thunderbolts, Captain America: Brave New World, Fantastic Four: First Steps, and Blade. I'd say the last two are a little "iffy" if I read Marvel news correctly, but we're here to talk about "Thunderbolts" anyways.

The Band

I was absolutely giddy to hear The Toadies featured in the new Thunderbolts trailer. It's a dissected and remixed version of Possum Kingdom that follows the action. Best of all, the movie looks good and may breath new life into the franchise. Check it out below and tell me it doesn't make you fall in love with the song Possum Kingdom all over again. The Toadies even gave the trailer folks a shout-out on thier social media so it's joy all around.

The Material

Here in Texas we tend to lead a semi-insular existence. That's why it's a bit shocking for us to hear of (The) Toadies referred to as one-hit wonders. As far as we're concerned, "Rubberneck" is one of the greatest albums of all time and is chock full of hits. I certainly hope that Toadies being part of this soundtrack will make the world dig deeper into all of thier music.
