Ridesharing apps have been popular in Texas for years which is a great thing, getting people home safe is important. But there is a new ridesharing app that is coming to Texas, and they are taking that safety factor up a notch.

While I wasn’t familiar with them until this week, there is an armed driver ridesharing app that will launch next year in Texas called BlackWolf.

BlackWolf Has One Goal in Mind

The ridesharing app BlackWolf launched last year in Atlanta and has over 300,000 downloads, 100 million online views, and 1 million social media followers. They have never spent money on advertising, people just like their extra safe rides.

Blackwolf is all about getting their passengers to their destination safely.

BlackWolf is Recruiting Drivers Currently

According to My San Antonio, the goal is to have 35-50 drivers in each market before launching. And the plan is to roll out service in Austin, Houston and Dallas in 2025. If things go well the company will continue to expand.

BlackWolf is a specialty service, so it will cost you normally about 10% or 15% more than other ridesharing apps.

Right now, BlackWolf is operating in Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, and Arizona. It will be interesting to watch if this new ridesharing app really explodes in Texas as safety and security continue to be an issue in some of the bigger cities.
