Mavericks Fan Kicked Out For 'Fire Nico' Chant Goes Viral

A fan at a Dallas Mavericks game in Texas was kicked out of American Airlines Center after mouthing two words on camera.

During Monday night's game between the Dallas Mavericks and Sacramento Kings, fans were asked to sing a little karaoke during a break. As fans sang the song to Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody", one man either forgot the words to the music or had a different agenda altogether as he mouthed the words "Fire Nico".

The man was then escorted out of American Airlines Center by security which was also captured on video as fans erupted.

Who Is Nico?

Nico Harrison is the Dallas Mavericks GM who spearheaded the shocking move to trade star player Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers recently, a move that was not well-received by fans.

American Airlines security has had to crack down on fans bringing in signs that voice their frustrations about the trade and criticizing the team. Some fans have canceled their season tickets while others have organized anti-management billboards.

As a fan myself, I was super shocked when I woke up Sunday, February 2 to the news. But then again, as a Dallas Cowboys fan, I am used to unconventional moves that seem to hinder a team.
