Texas continues to have an enormous issue with feral cats running rampant across the state. One shelter is stepping up to help in a big way with a free program available now.

All Kind Animal Initiative opened the doors to their new state-of-the-art facility at The PARC late in 2024. Since then, they have helped countless dogs and cats in our community find new homes as they continue to help improve animal welfare.

We've featured many awesome dogs over the past several months that are on the Urgent List at All Kind Animal Initiative. Now it's time to show the cats some love.

Trap, Neuter, Return

TNR is the only humane and proven effective way to address community cats. After being trapped, they are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, ear-tipped, and returned to the outdoor area where they were trapped.

Chrissy and Mikaela from All Kind Animal Initiative recently stopped by the studio and we talked about the new free program. You can check out the interview in the player below.

Incidentally, I had no idea that cats could reproduce at 3 or 4 months old! That is crazy. I learned a lot in this interview.
