When the phone rings, the men and women of the ECCA Volunteer Fire Department don’t hesitate. Day or night, rain or shine, they show up for our community. Once a year, it’s our turn to show up for them, and that day is Saturday, January 31, 2026.

The 24th Annual Wild Bunch Bonanza is back, and if history tells us anything, it won’t stay quiet for long.

A Big Purpose Behind a Big Day

During a recent radio interview, Chief Gary Young shared that this year’s fundraiser has a very specific mission: helping the department purchase a new communications system. In emergency situations, seconds matter, and reliable communication can truly make the difference between chaos and coordination.

This fundraiser directly strengthens the department’s ability to protect lives, homes, ranches, and roadways across the area.

What to Expect on Bonanza Day

Gates open at 10:00 a.m., and the action rolls strong until 4:00 p.m. Expect a full day packed with:

A crowd that feels more like family than strangers. Furthermore, I’ll be broadcasting live from the event, just like I’ve proudly done for the past two decades, and every year, the energy gets better.
