For someone like me with asthma, this is great news: Texas has many places to get some clean, fresh air. When on vacation, the last thing you want is to struggle with allergies or breathing issues.
According to the latest ratings, Texas has some of the cleanest air in the United States. Why am I not surprised? Despite feeling like a desert lately, Texas maintains low pollution and pollen counts.

When you need a breath of fresh air, Texas has your back. The study "Breath of Fresh Air" reveals many vacation spots with the cleanest air in the U.S., and while many are in Alaska and Hawaii, Texas is also shining bright.
Texans can breathe easier, reassured that our air quality surpasses many other places. This air quality assessment has been ongoing for the past five years, and the results are finally in.
Here are some top West Texas locations with updated Air Quality Index (AQI) readings as of July 18, 2024:

It's worth noting that the air in North America has been worsening over the past few years. The American Lung Association's 2024 "State of the Air" report revealed that over 137 million Americans were exposed to unhealthy levels of air pollution.
