The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has updated its Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list, urging the public to help law enforcement track down dangerous offenders. Tipsters remain completely anonymous by law and could earn cash rewards of up to $7,500 for information leading to an arrest.

How to Submit a Tip in Texas

DPS reminds the public that all tips are anonymous, whether provided by phone, online, or through the official DPS app.

  • Call the Texas Crime Stoppers Hotline: 1-800-252-TIPS (8477)
  • Submit a web tip through the Texas 10 Most Wanted website or Facebook page
  • Use the DPS Mobile App, available on both iOS and Android

Tipsters will be given a number instead of a name, and their identity is protected by law. DPS warns: Never attempt to apprehend a fugitive yourself — all should be considered armed and dangerous.

Fugitive of the Week: Miguel Angel Gomez – $7,500 Reward

The current Featured Fugitive of the Week is Miguel Angel Gomez, wanted for murder and parole violation. Gomez’s criminal history includes homicide, unlawful restraint of a minor, escape, sexual assault of a child, and tampering with government records.

  • Description: White (Hispanic) Male, 5’5”, 150 lbs., born 7/3/1973
  • Last Known Address: Houston, Texas
  • Reward: Up to $7,500

Authorities urge anyone with information about Gomez’s whereabouts to come forward immediately.

Featured Fugitive: Carlos Jose Ayala Morales – $6,000 Reward

Also on the Most Wanted list is Carlos Jose Ayala Morales, wanted for attempted indecency with a child by sexual contact. Morales has a disturbing criminal history that includes multiple charges of indecency with a child, burglary, and evading arrest.

  • Description: White (Hispanic) Male, 5’10”, 250 lbs., born 4/1/1981
  • Last Known Address: Houston, Texas
  • Reward: Up to $6,000

Other Fugitives on the Texas DPS List

In addition to Gomez and Morales, DPS is also seeking information on:

  • Raul Herrera, Jr. – Wanted for aggravated sexual assault and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Reward: $7,500.
  • Ernest Christopher Nathan – Wanted for murder. Reward: $5,000.
  • Arthur Dewayne Carson – Wanted for aggravated robbery and parole violation. Reward: $5,000.
  • Tyler Lee Palmer – Wanted for probation violation related to aggravated assault. Reward: $3,000.
  • Hector Daniel Silva – Wanted for aggravated kidnapping, burglary, and robbery. Reward: $3,000.
  • Stephen Joseph Vess – Wanted for sexual assault of a child and possession of child pornography. Reward: $3,000.

(Note: Two fugitives, Israel Mendez and John Martin Dixon, have recently been captured and are no longer on the run.)
