When It Comes to Business: Texas Leads the Way
I have always believed that Texas is a magnet when it comes to attracting business. And I believe it started in the late 50s early 60s when we saw the Boom of fast food restaurants planting their roots in the Lone Star State. In the city I live in Taco Bueno opened up just down the road from our radio station and across the railroad tracks from its #1 rival Taco Bell.
From fast food Giants to Tech Titans, business continues to choose Texas for a reason. One questions what are those reasons I believe it's the low cost of living, tried to buy a house here lately? The strong Workforce that we are, and Texans are very welcoming and friendly and businesses want that. So, it is no wonder Texas is a hot spot for businesses to come here. I'll just say this "business, it's in our nature."
Another Big Business Joins the Lone Star State
In a major win for Texas, Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) has officially announced its headquarters relocation to the Lone Star State. I reached out to Maddison Jaureguito, Director of Communications for Texas Department of Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller, who confirmed that KFC is making Texas its new home. This move adds to the ever-growing list of major corporations moving their base of operations to Texas, once again reinforcing the state's reputation as an economic magnet and Powerhouse for the United States.

Texas: The Best Place for Business Growth
One must face the facts, Texas has become the top destination for businesses looking for success and a very prosperous future. Companies like Charles Schwab Corporation, Chevron, Elon Musk’s X (formerly Twitter), and SpaceX have already made the move, bringing thousands of jobs and bolstering the state’s economy. Now, KFC is joining their ranks, and this trend shows no signs of slowing down.
Texas’ business-friendly environment, marked by low taxes, fewer regulations, and a strong workforce, continues to attract the best companies from all across America. As a lifelong Texan, I believe this economic surge will only continue, bringing with it more industries, more opportunities, and a stronger economy for future generations.
The Rise of Texas as a Tech and AI Hub
Beyond fast food and finance, Texas is also making waves in the world of artificial intelligence. Recently, former President Donald Trump revealed that Texas will be the site of “StarGate,” an ambitious AI project that promises to generate 100,000 jobs in Abilene and across the state. Oracle’s Larry Ellison has provided insight into the project, which is backed by a staggering $500 billion investment from industry leaders. This initiative aims to revolutionize AI infrastructure, solidifying Texas as a key player in the global tech industry. Source: Texas Standard.org
Commissioner Sid Miller’s Warm Welcome to KFC
“Businesses across the nation are choosing Texas as their destination for many reasons. Above all, no state is better for business than the Lone Star State. I am proud to welcome Kentucky Fried Chicken as they join the ranks of major companies like Charles Schwab Corporation, Chevron, Elon Musk’s X (formerly Twitter), and SpaceX, along with many others seeking greater growth opportunities in Texas. These moves bring valuable jobs and prosperity to our already thriving statewide economy. Once KFC completes the transition of its headquarters, I encourage them to join our GO TEXAN program and take advantage of the nation’s premier agricultural marketing partnership. And I must say, Texas Fried Chicken has a nice ring to it, don’t you think?” Source: TDA
A Bright Future for Texas’ Economy
The arrival of KFC’s headquarters in Texas is yet another testament to our strong economic stamina. With more industries coming here , more jobs being created, and tech innovations like StarGate on the horizon, Texas is poised to continue leading the nation in economic growth.
